According to KlutchSports CEO Rich Paul, the Los Angeles Lakers’ prominent player, Anthony Davis, has agreed to a lucrative three-year max extension worth $186 million.
This extension binds him to the franchise until 2028, guaranteeing him a total of over $270 million. Notably, this deal also marks the richest annual extension in NBA history, with Davis set to earn an astounding $62 million per year.
Davis arrived in L.A. after a blockbuster 2019 trade with the New Orleans Pelicans. He averaged 26 points, 12.5 points, and two blocks a game for the Lakers – shooting a career-high 56% – last season.
