As it was expected for several months, Real Madrid has officially announced the signing of point guard Facundo Campazzo, strengthening their backcourt for the upcoming season.

The 31-year-old playmaker is set for his third stint with Los Blancos, having previously played for the team in the 2014-15 season and from 2017 to 2020. Campazzo was part of Real Madrid’s EuroLeague championship teams in 2014 and 2018.

Last season, Campazzo played for Crvena Zvezda, where he averaged 15.0 points, 5.9 assists, and 1.9 steals in nine EuroLeague games. He also played a pivotal role in helping Crvena Zvezda secure the Serbian League and Cup titles and reach the ABA League final. Prior to his time in Serbia, Campazzo began the 2022-23 season with the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA.
