Tyrese Haliburton can’t help himself from being emotional after officially securing his massive extension with the Indiana Pacers.
In the Thursday press conference of his official signing, Haliburton shed tears as he talked about his appreciation to his mother.
Haliburton officially hammered his signature to bag the five-year rookie scale extension with the Pacers which may reach up to $260MM in value should he attain one of the team’s individual criteria (All-NBA, MVP, Defensive Player of the Year). This serves as the most lucrative deal in the team’s history.
The signing cemented Haliburton as the cornerstone of the Indiana franchise. He remarkably averaged 20.7 points, 10.4 assists, and 3.7 boards en route to being named an NBA All-Star for the first time in his career last 2022-23.
