Some quick 2023 NBA free agent notes before the madness begins.
Centers
I’ll be keeping an eye on the strong and efficient Udoka Azubuike at NBA Summer League. The former Jazz big man will be playing with the Celtics in Las Vegas. As for some veteran centers, Drew Eubanks, Mason Plumlee, Thomas Bryant, Montrezl Harrell, Nerlens Noel, Cody Zeller, and Chimezie Metu are names who I think can fit in with teams as high motor bigs.
Forwards
I thought Georges Niang, Torrey Craig, and Wenyan Gabriel thrived in their roles last year. You can count on these forwards to always be productive and healthy.
Guards
Shake Milton, Jevon Carter, Hamidou Diallo, Javonte Green, Damion Lee, and Cory Joseph were impressive in short minutes during 2022-23 while Jaylen Nowell, Josh Okogie, Terrence Ross, Kendrick Nunn, and Will Barton didn’t have the best years, but I’m sure they’re determined to come back stronger next season. Also I believe Kemba Walker & John Wall deserve another chance in the NBA.
