“I fully believe that,” Thompson said when asked if he believes that the Warriors can still go all the way. “It stings real bad. It’s gonna sting all summer. The first time in a long time that Dray[mond Green], Steph [Curry] and I were healthy and not making the Finals. So it’s rare to be off during this time of year. But I can tell you we gave it everything we had. Just stings. But I believe that we have greatness in our future still.”
The Warriors, who were defending NBA champions, had a challenging season with multiple injuries and ultimately finished as the 6th seed in the West. Despite the loss, Thompson remained confident in the team’s potential for greatness.
