The Warriors dominated the Lakers 127-100 in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals. The Dubs put on an impressive performance, with their whole starting lineup finishing with double-digit scoring. Klay Thompson led the way with 30 points, while Stephen Curry chipped in 20 points. The Warriors made 21 three-pointers compared to the Lakers’ 10.

Despite the lopsided scoreline, the Lakers’ LeBron James scored 23 points, and Rui Hachimura added 21 points. However, Anthony Davis was limited to just 11 points, a sharp drop from the 30 points and 23 rebounds he scored in Game 1.

Lakers head coach Darvin Ham spoke to the media postgame, saying, “I think for us our stagnation… I still have to go back and watch the game, but my gut feeling, my instincts tell to me that my eyes saw us settle a little bit, mishandle the ball some early. We’re right there early on neck and neck, but couple of possessions got away from us early.

“I just thought they did good job of crowding the paint and trying to prevent us from playing downhill as much and that, in turn, affects what we do at the free-throw line. We’ll go back to the drawing board and look at different ways we can sustain what we’ve done well over the course of these first two games and look at what we can possibly do better.”

Ham was optimistic that his team will be better in Game 3. “I fully anticipate our team will respond the right way,” he said.
