Another honorable day in the Los Angeles Lakers history, as big man Pau Gasol’s No. 16 was up in the Lakers’ rafters on Tuesday. The Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd talked about Gasol’s Jersey Retirement:
“Yeah, you talk about Pau Gasol’s career. He’s a champion, internationally playing for Spain came up short on the gold medal. But you look at what he’s done for International basketball and it is a well-deserved thing to get his number retired by the Lakers tonight. I always say he is a first-ballot HOFer. Another great international player who has helped grow the game.”
