The incident of Ja Morant flashing a gun on Instagram Live could have serious ramifications. The 23-year-old Grizzlies star has already been suspended by his team and is being investigated by police. But they may not be the end of it.

According to Marc Stein, the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) includes a clause which says that a player is automatically suspended for 50 games if he brings a firearm to team premises.

“The CBA says if there is a firearm on team premises [team plane], that’s an automatic 50-game suspension. That’s why the league is trying to ascertain where was the gun before the Instagram video,” Stein said, per Top Ball Coverage on Twitter.
