The Mavericks had a chance to tie the game against the Timberwolves during the final seconds of the fourth quarter, but Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving tried to get the ball to one another for a shot, but ended up turning the ball over and lost the game (121-124).

Minnesota’s players did their best to make sure neither of the two superstars could get a clear shot. Luka praised the opponents for that.

“First of all, it was a great defence by the Wolves. I think that was a great defence. We didn’t get a clear shot, we just passed each other. But I think it was great defence of them,” Doncic said after the game.

“I was trying to get him a shot, he’s trying to give me a shot,” the Slovenian superstar said about the final play. “At the end nobody got a shot. But he was going off. We tried to get a shot off, but we couldn’t.”
