Russell Westbrook is yet to suit for the Jazz since getting traded to Utah by the Lakers before the trade deadline.

It is expected that the former NBA MVP will agree to a buyout with his new team and will hit free agency. The Bulls are showing serious interest in the veteran point guard.

A major attraction in Chicago for Westbrook is the fact that the team is coached by Billy Donovan under whom Russ played for four years in Oklahoma City.

According to NBA insider Chris Haynes, Donovan relayed a message to his former player that Chicago is the place for him.

Chris Haynes: “Let’s talk about Russell Westbrook real quick. I was told Billy Donovan with the Bulls, his message has been relayed to Russ, that Chicago should be the place for him. So I don’t know. I don’t know if they’ve talked extensively. I don’t know if it was a text. But I was told his message has been relayed to Russ, that Chicago should be the place.”
