The Wizards seem to be more confident that they can retain Kyle Kuzma for next season. Washington parted ways with power forward Rui Hachimura who was traded to the Lakers for Kendrick Nunn and three second-round picks.

This leaves more potential playing time for Kuzma who is expected to decline his player option for next season and enter free agency this summer.

According to Jake Fischer of Yahoo! Sports, the Wizards are telling other teams that are inquiring about Kuzma that the player is not available which indicates that there is confidence in Washington that he will re-sign with the team.

This season Kuzma is averaging career-high 21.8 points, 7.6 rebounds and 4 assists in 35.2 minutes per game.
