From one Portland Trail Blazer great to another, Clyde Drexler has the most beautiful and well-deserved flowers for Damian Lillard.
In his guesting on Rip City Radio 620, Drexler made it known that he is proud of Lillard for surpassing him on the team’s scoring leaderboard.
“Nothing but love for Dame. Dame has always been a professional and a nice guy… I’m proud of Dame. Records are made to be broken. If there is somebody who is gonna break your record, he’s the type of guy you root for.”
Last month, Lillard officially surpassed Drexler in Portland’s all-time scoring list, topping the Hall of Famer’s 18,040 markers.
