Aleksej Pokusevski will be absent from the Oklahoma City Thunder for six to eight weeks of team activities due to a non-displaced tibial plateau fracture in his left leg, the team announced on Wednesday.

Pokusevski suffered the said injury back in OKC’s Tuesday 130-114 win over the San Antonio Spurs, wherein he only played two minutes prior to his exit.

The lanky, 21-year-old Pokusevski is registering 8.8 points, 5.1 boards, and 2.0 assists this year, starting in 25 out of his 31 games played. He is meanwhile improving from distance and shooting a career-best in three with a 37.6 percent clip.

With Jeremiah Robinson-Earl also out due to an ankle injury, coach Mark Daigneault may further elevate the role and minutes of veteran Mike Muscala on a temporary basis.
