The Boston Celtics assistant coach Damon Stoudamire was interviewed following the Celtics’ 126-102 win over the Houston Rockets on Tuesday night.

The victory was Boston’s third straight, and the team will take their win streak into a matchup with the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday.

After a last-minute announcement, Joe Mazzulla was ruled out for the game with eye irritation. Damon Stoudamire spoke about filling in for Mazulla as head coach for the night:

“I found out probably with about 10 on the (pregame) clock. But in a lot of ways that’s better,” said Stoudamire, whose mother was in town from Las Vegas for Christmas and happened to be at the game, via ESPN. “I’m pretty sure I’m going to check my phone and there’s going to be a lot of people saying ‘Why didn’t you tell me?’ Well, I didn’t know.”
