Aris- Olympiacos 62-79

Vassilis Spanoulis returned to the “Reds’” line-up and pushed them towards the win that gives them the other ticket for the finals, where they will face Panathinaikos, with the first game to take place at Peace and Friendship Stadium. Aris wanted to get control of the game again from early on and did their best to do so, but only achieved to have a 18-16 lead. Lojeski started rolling and helped his teammates overtake Aris who was unable to play good defense, going to the locker rooms in front 39-43.

It was Spanoulis’ time to elevate his performance and alongside Olympiacos’ great defense, the lead got to 14 points, 51-65 by the end of the 3rd period. With 10 minutes remaining and coach Sfairopoulos’ team being in front by a double-digit margin, they decided to play it slow and safe, preventing Aris from reaching close and becoming a threat. As a result, the home side gave up soon after the restart of the game and the away team celebrated their 3rd win at the series. Spanoulis scored 14 with 4 three-pointers, while Lojeski had 13.  Tsiaras scored 15 and was the only player with over 10 points for his team, and now they will face PAOK for the 3rd spot of the Greek Basket League
