The Warriors trio of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green have been playing together since 2012 when Green entered the NBA.

In the process they won four championships and to this day remained loyal to the team. This past offseason rumors started floating around in relation to the future of Green who was not offered an extension and has only one more year left on his current contract. That year is a player option.

An altercation between Green and Jordan Poole in preseason which led to the former punching the latter only made those rumors stronger.

The four-time NBA champion was asked directly whether he wants to spend his career with the Warriors. While understanding that it’s business and that both him and the team will make decisions that are best for them, he was affirmative with his answer.

“It’s incredible when you look at the amount of guys who’ve played for only one team. You can look around the NBA right now. There are five guys that’s been on a team for 11 years-plus. We have three of them [along with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson]. It’s a very rare thing. There’s 470, 480 players in the NBA? There are five guys that’s been with his team for 11 years plus. That’s amazing. So, you don’t just give that away. So, absolutely I’d be interested in that.”

This season Green is averaging 9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 7.1 assists in 30.7 minutes per game for Golden State.
