Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey has been ruled out of his team’s match on Friday against the Milwaukee Bucks due to a left foot injury, per ESPN’s Cassidy Hubbarth.

With less than two minutes remaining in the first half, Maxey rolled his left ankle upon a drive against Jevon Carter. Following the play, Maxey was frustrated and visibly limping in pain as he sank one of his two free throws.

The Sixers committed a foul to escort Maxey within the dugout for examination. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the x-ray results on his foot were negative, but he’ll take an MRI on Saturday for further assessment.

His probable absence for the next few games can only deliver a devastating blow to the Sixers’ ball-handling responsibilities, as James Harden is still in process of his right foot tendon strain.

Maxey was flamingly rolling for the Sixers prior to his exit, dropping 24 points on 9-of-12 shooting, four rebounds, and five assists in 21 minutes over the Bucks in the first half.

He is averaging a career-high 22.8 points to go with 4.4 assists and 3.5 rebounds in 14 games played for Philly.
