The NBA released a statement on Saturday in wake of the Kyrie Irving antisemitic controversy.

Per the release, the league is denouncing “hate speech of any kind” and vowed to “continue working with all members of the NBA community to ensure that everyone understands the impact of their words and action.” As such, the announcement didn’t mention the name of the All-star point guard.

Irving drew another major flak after posting on his Twitter Amazon link to the 2015 film “Hebrews to Negroes: Wake Up Black America.” It was severely condemned due to its antisemitic themes and content.

Brooklyn Nets and its owner, Joe Tsai, have already released their respective statements, expressing their disappointment with the action of Irving.

For his part, Irving rejects the public judgment being bombed against him, as he noted that the ‘Anti-Semitic’ tag being given to him is not justified and doesn’t reflect his everyday living.

As of now, the viral post of Irving remains undeleted in his Twitter account amid the social media backlash he gained.

Irving and the Nets now fell to a 1-5 record hole after their recent loss against the Indiana Pacers.
