Boston Celtics interim head coach Joe Mazzulla gets real on the first official ejection of his coaching career during the team’s 120-102 loss against the Chicago Bulls.

“I just have to have better composure under those circumstances,” Mazzulla said.

His frustration came over the fact that the Cs didn’t hold firmly on their gigantic deficit. The club was already holding a 19-point lead at the early part, but they allowed the Bulls to ignite a 49-14 run.

The Celtics found themselves in the deep water during the second half, not being able to get much closer on the Bulls’ wide gap. And it was in the third quarter that the young mentor was eventually kicked out of the match after yelling against the officials, receiving back-to-back technicals.

“I was just trying to get the referee’s attention,” Mazzulla said on what forced him to yell at the officials. “In moments like that when things aren’t going your way, you just have to be more composed. Do a better a job.”

It was truly a forgettable Monday night for both Mazzulla and the Boston team as their record got a losing stain at 3-1. As such, they’ll look to move on as they face the Cleveland Cavaliers back at home on Friday.
