Jalen Brunson at the Knicks was undoubtedly the most important trade for New York. The ideal solution would be to see Brunson play alongside Barrett and Randle. Until a few weeks ago this seemed unthinkable. Instead, the pre-season games proved the opposite.

Randle was found excited about Brunson’s, both on and off the pitch.

“He is a really good player, of course. But he’s a good person, a good human being at his core,” Randle said, via SNY’s Ian Begley. “I said it on day one, it’ll be great for our team, but it’ll be even better for our locker room.”

Barrett also had good words for Brunson:

“He’s definitely a leader,” Barrett said, via Begley. “… There were times when he came up to me and we had a good interaction. We have good communication between him and me. I think he’s starting to get contagious. Alone in the whole team. So he was really nice.”
