Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant made it known that he wants to move on from the drama that he and the organization has endured in the offseason.

“Can we move on past that at some point?” Durant said, via ESPN’s Nick Friedell. I know that it took up most of the offseason and drama sells, I get that, but I didn’t miss any games, I didn’t miss any practices, I’m still here. So hopefully we can move past that.

“There’s a lot of s— that was inaccurate. But it’s like I don’t want to go through it right now. We don’t got that much time right now.”

Both Durant and the Nets had an embattled face-off last summer, wherein the former demanded a trade out of Brooklyn following a rocky 2021-22 season.

Eventually, things didn’t go well planned, as both sides reignited their partnership after an unsuccessful attempt by Nets to absorb a gigantic, legendary haul for the future hall of famer.

After having discussions with owner Joe Tsai, Durant revealed that he got a much higher confidence for the team. As such, he is hoping for more accoutanbility from his teammates.

“I was upset,” Durant said. “And as a family, they understood that I was upset, some of the stuff they agreed with. So we talked about it, and it was over a couple of months, a couple of weeks, towards the end of that where we talked about it. We came out and we voiced all our concerns about how we all can be better. And it just worked out from there, and I’m glad I’m here now.”

Amid going through a challenging offseason, the two-time Finals MVP is maintaining the needed optimism for Brooklyn.

The Nets will open their 2022-23 season in an exciting matchup against Zion Williamson and the visiting New Orleans Pelicans on Oct. 19.
