Once again, Spain is competing for a medal in an international tournament after beating Germany in the 2022 EuroBasket semifinal.
“I can’t find the words to congratulate my players. They went above all expectations. This medal is probably the least expected but, to me, the most satisfactory,” Spain coach Sergio Scariolo said after the game, via Eurohoops.
“Built on hard work, togetherness, team basketball, defensive effort, desire to overcome our limits, physically basically. And big guts in the fourth quarter once again. Ten straight free throws made and some big shots too.”
