Steve Kerr had a legendary plethora of players and coaches that he shared a court with in his entire career, but he has one person mind that he appears wanting to add in his golden basketball experience.

Going for a fruitful trip in Cairo, Egypt to coach youths and campers for Basketball Without Borders program, Kerr was asked which particular player he would love to handle apart from his players in the reigning champ Golden State Warriors.

Kerr provided a notable answer, which is Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.

“Giannis [Antetokounmpo],” Kerr answered via interview with FilGoal. “I’d love to coach Giannis. He’s a great player, but he also seems like a great person.”

Antetokounmpo already cemented his place as arguably the greatest player in the world, but behind that power and grace he personifies is a humble, dedicated student of the game who keeps striving for progress and glory.

Entering the league as a mysterious, lanky Greek cager in 2014 Draft, Giannis powers his way towards league superstardom against all odds and challenges, bagging back-to-back MVP honors in 2019 and 2020 while spearheading the Bucks to its first title in 50 years.

Indeed, Kerr had a wonderful answer, but it is yet to be determined if he’ll get that chance to mentor Antetokounmpo. It was noted that the Dubs were also on the hunt for him during his last free agency status. As such, the future hall of famer remains binded in Milwaukee and has insisted his loyalty.
