Free-agent big man Tacko Fall is taking his talents to China.
As reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic, Fall will leave the States to explore the Chinese Basketball Association, inking a one-year deal with the Xinjiang Flying Tigers.
The undrafted Fall, 26, spent three years in the NBA and suited up for Boston Celtics (2019-2021) as well as the Cleveland Cavaliers (2021-2022) last season. He also served in both of the franchises’ respective G League affiliates, bagging two All-Defensive Team Selections in 2020 and 2022 while being named as the development program’s blocks leader last season.
The seven-foot-six tower from Senegal, who built a reputation for being a fan-favorite, has drawn multiple interests from overseas leagues this offseason. As such, he’ll merge with a Xinjiang club that is looking for another CBA title in the 2016-2017 campaign.
Fall has an NBA career average of 2.2 PPG, 2.4 RPG to go with 67.3 percent shooting across 37 total games in 6.2 minutes of play.
