Quinn Cook is pulling an interest from the Sacramento Kings.

As reported by Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee, the Kings are included amongst several teams that are keeping in touch with the free-agent guard about a potential deal.

Added by Anderson based on his sources, Sacramento planned to conduct workouts for both Cook and Matthew Dellavedova during the team’s participation in the recent Summer League in Las Vegas. The club is yet to decide on which of the two will make it to the cut.

Currently, the Kings are looking for a third-string point guard to back up De’Aaron Fox and Davion Mitchell. As such, Cook might have an edge to gain the said open post due to his familiarity with new lead coach Mike Brown back in their Golden State Warriors tenure.

After his collegiate time at Duke, Cook went undrafted in the 2015 Draft. He then bounced off from multiple teams around the NBA and found a good opportunity in the Warriors, winning a championship with them in 2018.

And in 2020, he gained his second ring as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers after conquering the NBA Bubble.

He wasn’t able to grab an NBA contract last season, but he managed to play on Sacramento’s G League affiliate, the Stockton Kings.

Cook has an NBA career average of 6.4 points, 1.7 boards, 1.6 assists in 46 percent shooting from the floor (40 percent from the three-point area).
