The Oklahoma City Thunder are planning to exercise their $1.9 million team option on Luguentz Dort for the 2022-2023 season.

The Thunder could have declined Dort’s option to make him a restricted free agent in the upcoming free agency opening this July 1st. As such, it looks like the Canadian swingman will stay in OKC for another year and is set to become an unrestricted free agent next summer.

Dort has been part of ongoing trade murmurs around the league due to his team-friendly contract and the versatility that he offers, most notably being tagged with the Portland Trail Blazers.

Dort posted career-high averages in points (17.2), boards (4.2) and assists (1.7) for the Thunder last season, but a shoulder injury shelved him for the remainder of the season in February.
