Devin Booker is continuing his recovery in hopes to push the Phoenix Suns for a projected title run and evade a painful elimination.
The star shooting guard is progressing towards an anticipated return for the next few days, wherein there is a possibility that he’ll suit up in Game 6 or Game 7, if necessary, against the New Orleans Pelicans (via ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski).
Added by Wojnarowski, there are still expectations that Booker will be initially listed as out in a possible first-round series closer on Thursday in Louisiana.
Booker sustained a grade 1 right hamstring strain in Game 2 of the West face-off. He was then announced unavailable for two to three weeks and was shelved for the three-straight games.
The best-of-seven matchup will shift to New Orleans, wherein the Suns are holding a 3-2 deficit in courtesy of the Game 5 performance of Chris Paul and Mikal Bridges.
Should the Pelicans force a Game 7, the chances of Booker returning for the league-leading Phoenix will get higher. As such, only time can tell the things that are about to unfold.
