The Lakers wasted a 23-point first half lead against the Pelican and eventually lost the game against their rivals in the standings. It was a frustrating loss for the purple and gold, further complicated with LeBron James suffering and ankle injury.
“I mean we just we are who we are,” James said after the game. “I mean, there’s not much of a processing when you know you can go out and score 35 in a quarter, 40 in a quarter, and hold the team to 18 in a quarter.
“But then you also know that you can give up 40 in a quarter in the same game. Yeah, it’s frustrating, obviously, but we are who we are and it’s not like we’re trying to figure out something more than that.”
