The Lakers will get an opportunity to win back-to-back games — something they have done rarely this year — as they will host the 76ers later today.

According to James Worthy, who won three NBA championships as a Laker, it would be a big win if the purple and gold manages to defeat the Sixers.

“If [the Lakers] do [win], there’s going to be a parade downtown. We know Philly, especially with the addition of Harden, that’s a handful,” Worthy said on Spectrum SportsNet.

“But I’ve always said the Lakers will rise to the occasion when they play some of the upper echelon teams and Philly is one of those teams. I expect them to be ready, it’s a home game, it’d be a good one for them to get a back-to-back win against plus .500 team that’s going to be in the playoffs. Looking forward to it.”
