Draymond Green has been out with lower back injury since January 9. The three-time NBA champion recently announced on his own show that he is targeting March 14 for return.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr confirmed the date revealed by Green. The team will monitor his progress and provided it goes well, the forward will play on Monday against the Wizards.

“We’ve known the last couple of weeks that there was kind of a general timetable right around that date anyway, but now it’s been pinpointed,” Kerr told ClutchPoints. “We’ve watched him ramp up the activity and improve his conditioning. He’s feeling better each day. He’ll scrimmage tomorrow and get some live work in and hopefully, the rest of the week goes really well and he’s back on that Monday.”

The Dubs had a bumpy road with Green. They went on a 9-game winning streak in late January – early February. Lately Kerr’s side has been struggling more. They won just 3 of their last 12 games.

This season Green is averaging 7.9 points, 7.6 rebounds and 7.4 assists per game for Golden State.
