Vladimir Lucic has signed a three-year extension with Bayern Munich, the team announced Tuesday. With him being at the club since 2016, Lucic seems to be willing to conclude his career with the German giants.

Bayern announced the news with a press conference today. Lucic, who started the season slow due to COVID-19, has been excellent for the playoff bound Bavarians.

So far, the Serbian forward averages 13.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.2 blocks per contest over 20 EuroLeague games.

Lucic was part of the 2021 All-EuroLeague First Team alongside Vasilije Micic, Nikola Mirotic, Kevin Pangos, and Edy Tavares, leading his team to its first playoff appearance.

“I am very happy to be a part of the FC Bayern family for three more years,” he said, according to the press release, “We have all put so much hard work into this together and I am excited to see what the future of the club will bring.”

After an impressive 70-52 victory over Maccabi Tel Aviv, Bayern stands at .500 (12-12) after 25 games this season. They are 1.0 game behind the 8th seeded Anadolu Efes.
