Boston Celtics star swingman Jaylen Brown is slated for a Monday night return against the Milwaukee Bucks following a five-game unavailability skid.

As he rested himself in the post-COVID-19 situation as well as his ailing hamstring, Brown is nothing but all about positivity on the impending comeback.

“I’m feeling good,” Brown said. “I’m feeling like myself, like how I started the season and how I was starting to feel coming back from COVID, getting my legs back up under me.

“Obviously, it’s been difficult to watch, especially wanting to be out there seeing how our team’s been fighting for the most part. It’s been hard to watch, but coming back I’m looking to just add to winning, trying to get everybody on the same page, bring energy and make winning basketball plays.”

Brown sustained a hamstring strain from last month and missed eight straight games upon rehabilitation. As he suited up for five occasions after a layoff, he looked rusty and hobbled — tallying a lowly average of 14.6 points and 3.8 rebounds in the stretch.

“I think I came back maybe a little too early before because I was not myself,” Brown openly admitted. “And hamstring’s are a little bit tricky so we were just taking time to figure it out. The organization and the medical staff had good communication and we figured it out.”

The C’s went off problematic and carved 1-4 record upon Brown’s second long absence. As the 25-year-old cager is finally cleared for donning a basketball uniform, he’ll be a much-needed force to lift the fortunes of Bean town in hot pursuit of a better place in the rankings.

Boston holds a 13-14 record, as Brown is registering 21.4 points, 5.2 boards, and 2.2 assists in almost 33 minutes of play.
