LA Lakers hunting for a sweet victory lost the game to a Grizzlies team without two of their best players and Ja Morant made a quick assessment for the LA franchise’s season this year.

Lakers just had a big victory against their arch-rivals Boston Celtics and had two days to prepare for the game in Memphis.

However, they could not prevail over a team that had several players entering health and safety protocols. After starting well, Frank Vogel’s team allowed Memphis to score 34 points in the second quarter and eventually lost the game (108-95).

Ja Morant, who is out with knee soreness, was quick to put some salt on the Lakers’ wounds, as his team won the fifth game in its last six outings.

The Grizzlies were coming from a loss to the Dallas Mavericks in the second part of back-to-back games. Despite the injuries, Memphis outplayed LA for three quarters.
