Portland Trail Blazers’ superstar Damian Lillard could consider leaving Portland, and he would angle for playing in New York and the Knicks, according to ESPN’s TV analyst Stephen A Smith.

After the organization led a private investigation centered on their longtime President of Basketball Operations, the Blazers decided to fire Neil Olshey based on what they’ve found.

In their first 24 games of the 2021-2022 NBA season, Portland has achieved a losing record of 11-13 with Lillard being out for several weeks with an injury.

For what is worth, Portland could decide to shake up its roster, however if they fail to make a competent team around Lillard, the All-Star could potentially request a trade after spending 10 seasons with the organization.

As Stephen A Smith pointed out, the Sixers could also be in the mix for the Blazers’ superstar, if he opts to leave Portland, as ‘there are people in his camp who would like him to give Philadelphia stronger consideration.’

The 76ers are looking to offload the three-time All-Star Ben Simmons, who has yet to make an appearance this season, after asking out of Philadelphia this past offseason.

In any case, Damian Lillard is still in Portland, and he repeatedly insisted that he wants to win a championship with the Trail Blazers.

However, the organization will have to find a replacement for the GM position and maybe improve the roster to keep Lillard in Portland for the long run.
