The Los Angeles Lakers revamped their roster this past offseason, keeping just three players from last year’s roster, with the goal of competing for the team’s 18th NBA championship.
Arguably the biggest move by the purple and gold was the addition of superstar Russell Westbrook, who, along with LeBron James and Anthony Davis, formed the Big Three.
Despite the high expectations, the Lakers find themselves struggling after 20 regular season games. With 10 wins and 10 losses, they are sitting in the 7th place in the Western Conference.
Head coach Frank Vogel is reportedly facing mounting pressure for the team’s disappointing results. The 48-year-old coach, who led the Lakers to the championship in 2020, signed a contract extension this past summer, terms of which were undisclosed.

The Lakers are yet to play a single regular season game with a full roster, due to injuries. Most notable among them was James’ absence, who missed 11 games.
