The Boston Celtics will host the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday for a battle between the NBA’s two winningest teams. Lakers legend James Worthy shared his thoughts on what the purple and gold need to do in order to come out of Boston with a win.
“The key is to not let [the Celtics] have a comeback game against you,” Worthy said on Spectrum SportsNet. “The Lakers have played well in Milwaukee had a pretty good chance to win that game. They need to take that same attitude in to Boston.
“Defense first. That’s what kept that in the game and allowed them to almost have a chance to win. I think they’ll shoot the ball better. They had some good looks just didn’t knock them down. Ellington, Monk I think they’ll pick up and knock down some shots. If they do that, I think they have a pretty good chance in Boston.”
