The Los Angeles Lakers were once again unable to defend their home court, as they fell to the Chicago Bulls (103-121). The visitors used a type of double team against Anthony Davis that the hosts are not used to, according to Lakers head coach Frank Vogel.

“We haven’t seen that type of double team this year,” Vogel said postgame. “Credit Chicago for being very aggressive trying to take [Anthony Davis] out of the game with post frontals and immediate double teams. With a new group we didn’t adjust to it very well.

“When we did, we missed open threes on the back side. But we turned the ball over too much and had too many bad possessions early on trying to get AD involved.

“Part of an 82-game season with a new group is all these guys that are new to playing with Anthony trying to figure that out and understanding what we want to go to and when we see a defense like that.”

The Lakers will now embark on a five-game road trip to the Eastern Conference where they will face the Bucks, Celtics, Pistons, Knicks and Pacers.
