Detroit Pistons big man Kelly Olynyk will be placed on the sidelined after sustaining a Grade 2 MCL sprain on his left knee.

He gained the said injury during the Pistons’ away game against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday during the late 4th period as he was called for a confusing illegal screen.

According to Keith Langlois, Olynyk will be re-evaluated in six weeks by the team doctors.

A proven veteran and solid newcomer under Dwayne Casey’s program, the Canadian is currently averaging 12.5 points, 5.3 boards, and 2.3 assists in the lopsided season of Motor City.
