Steph Curry was on fire during the first half of the game between the Golden State Warriors and the Clippers. The “Chef” dropped 45 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and made 8-of-13 shots from deep in a close 115-114 victory over the Clippers in the Warriors’ home opener.

Curry welcomed the Warriors’ fans prior to the start of the game. His scoring outburst on Thursday followed a triple-double performance, which Curry labeled as “trash” in the opening night win vs. the Lakers.

Stephen Curry hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 56.8 seconds remaining to follow up a 30-footer less than a minute earlier. The Warriors’ superstar then secured a key rebound with 36 seconds left before calmly converting a pair of free throws with 4.7 seconds on the clock on Thursday’s showdown.

He completed a perfect first quarter, which included 25 points on 9-9 shooting and five made threes. Also, he ended up recording the fifth best scoring performance for a Warrior in a home opener, as the team improved its record to 2-0.

With Curry in massive form at the start of the season, the Warriors have already two wins against the two LA franchises. As he addressed the crowd, Curry referred to Klay Thompson, who’s recovering from injury, and he will make his return at some point this season.
