New York Knicks addressed their offensive deficiencies in the offseason, by signing two natural scorers in Kemba Walker and Evan Fournier.
The Knicks will shoot more from deep this year with the backcourt duo of Walker and Fournier. They were sixth in three-point attempts and third in makes from three-point range during the preseason.
New York head coach Tom Thibodeau claimed the starting five have work to do with the addition of Walker and Fournier; however, he asked both and especially Walker ‘be himself’.

“I thought Kemba [Walker] also was almost a little too unselfish. When the ball is coming to them, I want them to be who they are. I don’t want them trying to fit in and then they get themselves out of rhythm.
I know they’re unselfish players by nature. Just be aggressive. Be who you are. When you have your shots, you take them, and that’s the way I want our whole team to play.”
The Knicks will face Boston on Wednesday night for the opening night of the regular season.
