CSKA Moscow added former Nuggets and Nets big man Kenneth Faried, the team announced Saturday. The deal with the American player is for two months, with an option to extend until the end of the season.

Farried spent seven years of his career with the Denver Nuggets, earning a reputation with his rebounding and hustle plays. He also played for Houston and Brooklyn, before leaving the NBA for China.

In total, the ‘Manimal’ played 478 matches in the NBA regular season and 18 playoff games. He has career averages of 11.4 points and 8.1 rebounds in the regular season.

At the international level, he made the USA squad in the 2014 edition of the FIBA World Cup helping the team capture the gold medal in Madrid.

After playing for the Portland Trail Blazers in the NBA Summer League, the veteran big started the season in Puerto Rican side Leones de Ponce. He averaged 12.0 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists in three games.

Faried is coming to the EuroLeague giants to replace Nikola Milutinov, who is expected to miss several weeks with injury. CSKA is currently 1-1 in the EuroLeague and 3-0 in the VTB United League.
