Denver Nuggets are hoping to pursue a championship this season, even though Jamal Murray will not be available for a huge portion of the upcoming season.

The 2021 regular season MVP Nikola Jokic claimed the Nuggets could win a title, even with their second-best player sidelined.

“Yes, of course,” he said when asked if he feels his club should be in the NBA title conversation, even without Murray. “If everybody buys in and everybody plays the right way, there is a chance, of course.”

“Do we have enough talent? I don’t know,” Jokic said. “Are we the best team in the NBA? I don’t know, so we will see. The season is going to show us everything.”

Jokic had a monster year during the 2020-21 season campaign as the Nuggets remained close to the top of the Western Conference, even without Jamal Murray.

It remains to be seen how the Denver Nuggets will fare without the Murray, though Jokic looks ready to prove he belongs to the elite once again this season.
