Carmelo Anthony is getting ready for the most important season of his career and has his sights set on winning the championship with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Entering Year 19 in the NBA, Anthony knows he has a golden opportunity to go all the way and claim the first title of his career.
“If I was just to walk away from the game before, then I would have been at peace with [not getting a ring]. But now that perspective is totally different. Now I HAVE to win,” Anthony told Stephen A. Smith of ESPN.
Anthony is one of the many veterans that joined the team this offseason, as the Lakers are seeking to bounce back after a disappointing playoff run and a first-round exit last season.
