Los Angeles Lakers are set to face the Phoenix Suns in the first round of the playoffs, after securing the seventh seed via the play-in tournament.
LeBron James shared a new update on the situation around his ankle, claiming he’s ready to go for Sunday’s contest at Phoenix.
The Lakers’ superstar missed 26 games with a high ankle sprain during the regular season as he suffered the injury in a game vs. the Atlanta Hawks in March.
The Lakers will need James at his best going against the second-seeded Phoenix Suns. The Suns are one of the few teams this season that ended up having a top-10 ranking in defense and offense.
On the other hand, the Lakers had the best defense in the league, allowing just 107.0 points per 100 possessions. The series against the Suns starts on Sunday evening.
