The Los Angeles Lakers and the Phoenix Suns are set to start their best-of-seven first-round series on Sunday. The defending NBA champions enter the playoffs as number seven seed against one of the best teams in the NBA.

According to seven-time NBA champion Robert Horry, the way the series will go depends a lot on how the Suns will be able to limit LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

“This is going to be one of those series where you don’t know what’s going to happen,” Horry said on Spectrum SportsNet. “Because if you look at the Phoenix Suns team, they’re one of those teams that were exciting in the bubble. They didn’t lose a game in the bubble but didn’t make the playoffs.

“Now they got a guy like CP3 on their team, now they’re in the playoffs. Not only they’re in the playoffs, they’re number two seed, almost a number one seed. They got that veteran leadership that they need. You got Devin Booker who’s one of the best young scorers in this game.

“So it’s going to be about the guards. It’s going to be how people like Crowder are going to be able to come out and play defense against LeBron. Because this is one of those games where LeBron is more powerful and bigger than guys. And also AD.

“So it’s going to be about who can score points in the paint. Because we know the Lakers have scored a season-high points in the paint before. Can they do it again against this team that has no presence on the inside.”
