LeBron James’ return to action after being out of action for six weeks due to an ankle injury was short lived. The Los Angeles Lakers star played just two games before having to take a break due to issues in the ankle he had previously injured.

The clock is ticking for the Lakers to get at their best shape as they have just seven regular season games left to play before the playoffs. The reigning NBA champions are also facing a risk of dropping to the play-in tournament where a single loss could end their season.

Having a healthy James is a key to the team’s success. NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski thinks that the four-time NBA champion will attempt to play in this regular season.

“I think [LeBron] is going to try to play again in the regular season. … He probably can’t get [the ankle] fully healthy until the offseason. He’s going to have to play with discomfort in the playoffs,” Woj said on ESPN’s Get Up.
