The arrival of Chris Paul this past offseason turned the Phoenix Suns into one of the top teams in the entire NBA. His most recent performance helped the team clinch a playoff berth for the first time since the 2009-2010 season.

The 35-year-old veteran finished the game against the Los Angeles Clippers with a double-double of 28 points and 10 assists. The eleven-time NBA All-Star is averaging 16.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 8.7 assists per game this season.

According to former NBA champion Kendrick Perkins, this might be the year when Paul wins his first MVP. “Chris Paul might just win his 1st MVP this season!” Perkins tweeted.
