Argentina’s Manu Ginobili was known as the ultimate team player during his time in San Antonio. Former Spur Stephen Jackson recently called Manu one of his best teammates while telling a story from the 2003 Western Conference Finals.

“He’s one of my favorite teammates. I think the reason why I respect him is not only because of the way he played the game and how good he was, but because of the teammate he was. I remember when we won the Western Conference Finals when I was in San Antonio, I really balled out, really won that game for us. I didn’t really get any credit because I wasn’t one of the big names like Steve Kerr or Tim Duncan. I remember sitting in the back of the locker room and Ginobili coming over telling me ‘You deserve the MVP, you’re the reason why we won this game.’ Not only was he great, but he was a great teammate.”
