Former NBA star Allen Iverson thinks that the 1996 NBA Draft class, which included himself as the number one pick, was the best ever.
“People talk about the class that Mike [Michael Jordan] was in,” AI said. “People talk about 2003 LeBron and Wade, and Melo. And that’s a great class but the ’96 draft class, hands down the best.”
In 1996 some of the most iconic NBA players were drafted. In addition to Iverson it featured Kobe Bryant, Stephon Marbury, Steve Nash, Ray Allen, Antoine Walker, Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Marcus Camby, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Derek Fisher, Peja Stojakovic, Jermaine O’Neal.
