Los Angeles Lakers’ legend Magic Johnson took to Twitter to weigh in with a reference to fellow Lakers’ legend Elgin Baylor, who passed away today.
Baylor, who played for the Lakers in 13 years of his career, averaged 27.4 points and 13.5 rebounds per game, revolutionizing the forward position.
Johnson shared a heartfelt message for the legendary forward calling him ‘Michael Jordan before Michael Jordan’. He then offered his condolences to Baylor’s family.
Like Magic, Baylor also served as an NBA executive, serving as the vice president of basketball operations for the Los Angeles Clippers for 22 years.
